We've been on other cruises, but this was our first Caribbean. We went with a group of friends, for a total of eight. The Regal Princess is huge, but we were a bit familiar with the layout as we'd been on the sister ship, the Royal Princess in 2015. Our balcony cabin was as expected. I certainly wish Princess would tweak their "any time" dining, though. It's not really "any time" when you have to stand in line for 30 minutes for a table, and they don't let you make reservations during certain times.

We had an additional day at sea due to poor conditions, so we couldn't dock at Dominican Republic. Had one good shore excursion, and one AWFUL one. The Blackbeard's Castle excursion on St Thomas was good. The Rainforest Walk on St Kitts was more of a forced march through a steep, narrow, up-and-down barely-there path. I did not see anything but the ground in front of me, and was terrified the whole time. In our group of twenty, at least two turned back near the beginning and two others fell during the trip. The so-called path was full of tree roots, fallen trees, and exposed rocks. We also had to cross a stream on slippery rocks. This excursion was rated "moderate". We've taken MANY moderate excursions, and none have been this bad. It should be rated "strenuous", or even "dangerous". I wouldn't be surprised if people regularly received injuries from this "walk".

Exactly what we expected. Nice bed, small bathroom (of course), refrigerator. Sure wish cruise ships would put clocks in the rooms, though!
