First, whoever does their "People Skills" training deserves a raise. These are memorable, literally everyone strives to make your Cruise memorable and meaningful. From housekeeping to the ships Captain Peter Boos on the bridge - all sought to make everything 'just right'. The cruise director works to make your trip a great time, and she is good at it. From 50's-60's rock & roll night in the Crow's Nest to a small string quartet in a quiet Ocean View Bar. From Jugglers to magicians, from Broadway and stage productions by their cast to a little late night comedy (not too edgey, just risque) its all there. The ship is 10 years old, well cared for and comfortable. The entertainment was good and well attended. The small workshops, learning experiences, and displays were well done. Dining was a production. Each course was perfectly executed. The last night's "production" called the "Master Chef's Dinner" and extremely fun and entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Alaska itself is a pristine wilderness, however cruising in this ship allows you to see and experience coastal mountains, glaciers, and rugged beauty in comfort.Shoreline experience was exactly what you make of it - if you want shopping, it is there, if you want whale watching, it is there, if you want a motorcycle adventure it is there. Alaska and this cruise line were way more than we expected.
Full window, nicely furnished, good value. Housekeeping was great, steward was a personable young man. had the neatest "towel Art" on our bed each evening seal, whale, sea lion was very creative
