My husband and I have previously cruised on Princess, Celebrity and Disney and wanted to try something new. We typically do a winter cruise to escape the cold weather and we were able to get this cruise for a good price with additional perks from the cruise line and our TA. We are 38 and 42 so younger than the usual Oceania demographic. There were a few other people our age, 2 toddlers, 1 elementary school aged girl, and 3-4 teenagers. All ages seemed to have a good time even though there aren't any kid or teen oriented activities. Overall it was a great cruise with a few misses, but we would cruise with Oceania again.

We used Oceania Air rather than taking the credit. We have used other cruise line air programs which allowed us to choose which days we wanted to fly. My husband and I always fly in the day prior to embarkation since you never know what delays can occur. I think most cruisers do. As a premium cruise line I thought Oceania would be the same. It is not. Oceania has you fly in the day of embarkation and charges a $175 per person change fee if you want to fly in a day earlier. In my opinion, Oceania's air policy creates a problem for its customers and then charges them to fix it. We did not do the deviation since our TA assured us if we missed the boat Oceania would pay to get us to Tortola, our first port. I also thought that I must just be a worrier and if that's how Oceania air works, flying in the day of embarkation must not be an issue. It turns out our flight from Denver was delayed and we ended up making it to the ship with 15 minutes to spare. Eleven passengers from our cruise were delayed out of DFW and did miss the ship. The Oceania embarkation employees were tired and cranky. Not what I was expecting from them. One plus to getting to the port that late is that you keep all your bags with you so once we were on the ship we were able to straight to our room and start unpacking until the muster drill.

We had a veranda cabin and it had plenty of space and storage room even though my husband and I overpacked. I liked having the shower in the bathtub since it made it much easier to shave my legs. I never even used the stand-alone shower stall.

Cabin Review

Verandah Stateroom

Cabin B2

Plenty of room. No noise except from people in cabin above us. From the balcony you look down onto the balcony below you. The extended balconies on deck 7 look nice, but don't have much privacy.
