We choose this cruise based on the itinerary. The ports were Ft Lauderdale, Grand Turk,San Juan , St Thomas and Half Moon Cay. We had to skip Grand Turk due to rough seas. The seas were pretty rough for the entire cruise, but we were able to get to the other ports.
Our cabin was fine, obstructed ocean view. The food was good in dining room mostly good at lido buffet. The buffet had a lot of the same things, not too much variety. One day we did the tea, the tea sandwiches were not good-that was a disappointment.
We booked one excursion in SanJuan thru the ship. It was history and cuisine -a walking tour about 3.5 hrs. Our guide,Noemi was excellent-very informative and entertaining. We also made our own mofongo and mojitos-fun and tasty. Great excursion-highly recommend. In St Thomas, we just took a cab to Megan's Bay-nice beach. At the private island,we hung on beach and swam-water was chilly, but beautiful island. The island bbq was fair. We cruised with my nephew and his wife, who experienced some sea sickness, but got Dramamine and did ok.
Even though it was an obstructed view, the windows were the size of sliding doors, so they let in plenty of light. There was enough storage. The bathroom had a tub/shower. The room was quiet.
We just took a cab right from the dock and went to Megan's Bay-nice beach. We also did some shopping downtown.
Beautiful beach, but a little chilly. The island BBQ was just ok. We just swam, but you can rent snorkeling equipment, paddle boards, etc.
