The cruise itinerary fitted perfectly with our Christmas holidays. We booked well in advance because it was expensive over the festive period and we like a balcony cabin.
Our flights from Manchester to New Orleans and back from Barbados on the Dreamliner were excellent. We were in Premium and thought it was much better than Business Class on both Virgin and BA. We were quickly through customs and onto the coach and there was no delay checking onto the ship.
Unfortunately things went downhill from there.
Our cabin was ok, not great compared to other ships. No bath robes? Never been on a ship that doesn't supply them before. We bought some and brought them home. However, our steward was very good.
We had anytime dining in Peninsular Restaurant. We always asked for a table for 2 and sometimes had a buzzer but never a long wait. Service was usually good, although it often took ages to get wine. Menu choices uninspiring, although the soups were always hot and tasty.
We ate in all the speciality restaurants. Liked the Glass House best. The service at all these restaurants was always good.
The buffet! Poor. Luke warm food, no service at all. Staff couldn't care less.
Stayed away from the sail away parties, it's just not our thing. Enjoyed the terrace pool on sea days as it was handy for our cabin.
Overall we enjoyed our holiday although we prefer a more cosmopolitan atmosphere on board.
Very handy for the terrace pool and the buffet. Was covered and got no sun.
This was our best tour. Saw lots of alligators and birds. Best to take a sweater or light jacket as it gets draughty.

View All 129 Rainforest ReviewsHave been here before but will not go again even though it is a beautiful beach. We arrived early and were charged an entry fee then encountered very rude and unpleasant staff.
We spent the morning on the beach then went to board the Rhum Runner. However, there were not enough seats for everyone, when we boarded there were about a dozen people seated or lying on towels on the floor upstairs. We decided not to bother and left.

We just walked around and had lunch in a bar.
Walked along the sea front and had coffee in a restaurant. Have already been to Miami several times and didn't want to go to the shopping malls.
The ship called at Martinique instead. We did the beach break, it was nice but not long enough at the beach.
