Just returned last night from our 13 night cruise on the Norwegian Breakaway. Overall we had a great experience. The cabins were clean, the service was good to excellent. The entertainment was awesome!!!
Lets start with the food. It was actually very good for the most part. the only complaint I really have is the the Garden Cafe is lacking in variety. They have these wonderful stations that make serving yourself very easy but they served a lot of the same food at each daily meal. They could benefit from changing it up on a daily basis so that guests don't get bored. The highlight was the ice cream station!! OH MY did I eat my weight in ice cream!! I am gluten free so having that as a dessert option was amazing for me.
The restaurants served excellent food!!! We loved the Noodle bar and the Irish pub food on board. Our only beef (excuse the pun) is that the majority of the restaurants have an up charge or even worse, were a la carte!!! 27 restaurants and you had to pay extra to dine at 20 of them!!! That was a bit disappointing. Because we were travelling with our daughter we opted to stick with the complimentary dining options to cut down on extra costs. The food is excellent, the service is great at all of the complimentary restaurants. You do NOT need to pay extra at the speciality restaurants to feel special...
Arsen was awesome!! He did a great job!!! The cabins are small and the balcony is the tiniest of all the cruise lines we have travelled with however overall we were satisfied!!! N
