Sail Date: Dec 2016

We chose this particular cruise because my companion has wanted to take it since we met a couple several years ago who had done the sailing and raved about it and the adventure it was. They had gone on Holland America.

This year we had the time to attempt this long of a vacation and went looking for the same/similar opportunity. The cruise we found was with Princess. We had read good things about Princess and had no qualms about booking on one of her cruises.

I will tell you now that if had been my first cruise I would have never stepped onto another cruise ship.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

cabin was small and the shower was very small, the bed was uncomfortable, very soft, no support, the balcony was tiny just room for two chairs and a small table. There was obviously no soundproofing in the walls as I could follow the conversation of the people in the next cabin on the last leg of our trip, they boarded for the last week of our cruise, come to find out this cruise was actually three separate cruises offered together.

The woman who took care of our cabin was great, though, did a wonderful job keeping a cabin I thought was dingy clean.

We were supposed to go around Cape Horn through the Straights of Magellen but the captain cancelled that and took a shorter route along the inside passage because he was running behind. We had stayed in the previous port most of the night for no good reason.
