We chose this cruise because it stopped at four ports instead of 3 which is all many of the cruise lines do. Also, because I have never been to Puerto Rico and it was one of the ports. I've also heard very nice things about Holland.
I went with my sister, a first for us since childhood, in part because of my mother's death that year. We had a great time. We had a verandah room and it was spotless every day.
We found the food to be very good and our first night shared a table with a Chicago chef and he was very satisfied too. We also had another night where we shared a table with a former chef from Naples and he was very satisfied. (I only mention the chefs as I have seen some of the whiny reviews.) We were never disappointed with the food and there was a huge variety to choose from especially on the Lido deck.
Very nice. The room is close to the elevators and I was concerned we would hear the ding-ding of the elevator, but we never heard it. We had two beds, instead of one and after a day figured out where all the hidden drawers were. We loved being able to sit on the deck, have our breakfast, or a cup of tea, listening to the waves lap against the ship and watching the Caribbean sunsets.
