The Captain's Circle representative rarely kept her meager scheduled hours. It was not until the end of the cruise that we were able to catch up with her to ask why we had not received our elite benefits. Her stance on this issue was that we were to know our benefits and ask for them. We cruise extensively and are elite status or equivalent on five major cruise lines. Never before on any of them had anyone in her position taken that stance.

We have always looked forward to dining in the Crab Shack since its inception. On this occasion I had invited guests that I had brought on the cruise to this anticipated great dining experience. What a disappointment. They have raised the cost of dining there to that of the other specialty restaurants. That's not a problem if they had continued the same quality of food and service. They have cut the portions in half, and are serving less desirable pieces of crab. The crab legs were not heated appropriately, being cool to cold. I am a Pescatarian and declined their Manhattan chowder as for some ungodly reason it is made with bacon. They obtained garlic soup for me from the dining room which was reminiscent of wallpaper paste. This experience was so bad that I will not dine there again.
