Majesty, one of the smallest, oldest RCCL ships... I had lower expectations for the ship based off the age and size of the ship as well as other reviews but it was fine for a short 4 day sailing. I'd have no issue sailing on it again. My friend and I just booked this cruise on impulse while making our final payment for a different sailing. Neither of us had been on a Bahama Cruise yet and we found this great priced four day sailing to CocoCey and Nassau with a day at sea day at the end and just booked it.
Food options on-board seemed rather lacking. We never once ate in the main dinning room. We checked the menu each night and never found one that hit us, so to the Windjammer we went. This Windjammer was oddly set up with 2 different rooms with 2 different buffet areas .. although not always both open, and when they were, they didn't always have the same food at them. Breakfast on the ship was the most BASIC I've ever found.. and lacked even things like bagels? The cheese selection (one of my favorites!) was also lacking. While they did have 3 or 4 cheese a night.. none of them were labeled and it was placed on a size table like an afterthought. Never found limeade either, my other sailings with RCCL had offered it. (And no Iced Tea in the morning?) I did the room service one night and ordered a small cheese pizza and chocolate ship cookies although when they came, it ended up being gross oatmeal raisin! (ew) ((the pizza was fine))
The pool area looked nice but it was very, very small. There was a small water slide but I never saw it open the entire time. I also never went in the pool (first time for me not going in at least one) I also did the rock wall a couple of times. Shopping on the ship was also extremely lacking, although that's not a negative issue to me. We walked past the casino a few times. Not my thing but I like watching roulette. The "club" area was the worst. For the most part our sailing was an older crowd and that meant the dance floor was mostly people with an average age of 50 and music of the 70's despite being advertised as "top 40" (Why cant they just have real dance/tech/trance/'EDM'?) Also since it was a short trip (4 days, vs all my other sailings of 7) it seemed like a lot of the activities we've enjoyed in the past were missing. I guess do to lack of time or sea days.
Smaller sized room (the smallest I've had yet), but it was fine for two of us, split beds. Although there was a shelf built into the wall, so once the beds were split they were not next to each other but on different ends of the room. Kinda...odd. The window was nice although you could see a lifeboat and some of the lift-machinery . But it was still nice to have natural light in the room and be able to look outside.
