This was our fifth cruise second on royal Caribbean and first on Voyager class. Overall impressions very I fluenced by the crowded nature of the New Years cruise. Felt. Bit like being in Bali with drunken Aussies sometimes. Long waits for lifts. Food was very average and not as good as previous experience on Oasis. Our last cruises were with Celebrity which was a nicer experience with food and entertainment. Cabin was well cared for by Room attendant and throughput the ship the staff were actually very friend.y and helpful-a big plus, the flow rider guys were great fun, helpful and kept it safe. The entertainment was hit and miss. The Ice show was amazing. The pub singer Kieran was fabulous. The other entertainment wasn't really our thing. The teens found enough to do with well supervised stuff plus a curfew which they didn't like but was a good idea. The kids in our group ages 6 and 9 enjoyed the kids club.

We did ultimately enjoy the cruise, it was lots of fun. For us the drinks package was well worth it. However if you are going on New Year expect busy, crowds and waits for drinks at the bar.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Junior Suite had walk in robe and a full bath. Larger balcony. Suite class express check in was well worth it. Otherwise no other suite privileges.

Port Reviews

Port Vila

We hired a minivan at the dock. We were fine, paid half the asking price. Others we met did get scammed so be careful. We went to Hideaway Beach which was pretty. Unfortunately most of the restaurants in town were closed that day so we ended back on the ship for lunch. It was pretty on the beach. The roads are terrible and not safe so I wonder if you might be better off with an organised tour if you worry about that sort of thing.

Noumea

We got the HOHO with ferry to Duck Island. Bought tickets at the dock. Would have been beautiful if not for the several thousand other visitors! Coral very bleached. Lunch at lemon bay-not very friendly although speaking French helped a lot.

Sydney (Australia)

We overnights in Sydney at the Novotel Darling Harbour which was perfect for a night with dinner at a local restaurant with a group -just a short walk away. The included breakfast was fantastic.
