Interesting place to visit

We chose this cruise for some heat and winter sun - so we weren't disappointed in that respect. Hadn't been before so the itinerary was to look forward to. The embarkation process from Dubai to the ship was slow and not very well coordinated. It took 1 hour at Abu Dhabi in the queue before we embarked the boat.

It seemed odd to have the Cruise Critic gathering when most were away on a excursion although for some reason we did not appear on their lists and did not get an invite anyway!

The ship was quite large in respect to what we have been on before and we felt that it was a little " tired " and could do with some TLC.

Our Ocean View cabin on deck 3 was fine and close to the stairs and elevators and didn't suffer from noise being close to the atrium.

Our open dining experiences on deck 4 were on the whole very good meeting a wide spectrum of people. The menus gave good choices for all our tastes. The waiter service was always very attentive and good.

We went to some of the on board entertainment. Whilst it was not to our taste we acknowledge the effort and professionalism that was on show.

The staff around the ship we found to be pleasant and courteous.

The ports were interesting, but if you didn't do an excursion at Khasab there was nothing to see or do. We did some ship excursions (for ease) but also did our own.
