The ship was outdated, small, and smelled like mildew in several locations (most notably the elevators towards ship's aft and the hallways. The crew, while helpful, was not anywhere near as energetic and engaging as they have been on other cruise lines. The excursions were some of our favorite of all time and that photographers were sent along on the bigger excursions was appreciated. The majority of onboard activities were drawing and sales pitches with not much to choose from in the way of actual activities. We even traveled over Christmas and New Years and the celebration was underwhelming. The dining experience was as expected; however, they had just transitioned to a new pastry chef and the desserts were lack-luster. That said, the chef who prepares the beef entres nailed it every time. The spa staff obviously lacked training. On multiple occasions we were told prices and services that didn't agree with one another. While the spa manager fixed the major screw up of one of her staff members once I told her the issue, the staff continued to be uninformed to the prices and services of the spa. Such that we cancelled the remaining appointments due to the "complications" and excuses we encountered every time we went in there. Avoid the spa it wasn't worth the hassle.

Port Reviews

Huatulco

We took the Cultural experience and went to peoples homes where we saw everyday life of basket weavers, farmers, and tapestry weavers.

Aruba

It's just a shopping port.
