I've been a regular user of Cruise Critic's cruise reviews to see what others have thought about the ship, crew, food, ports, etc. just before my wife and I will be on a cruise. To be honest with you either people's expectations are way too high or competitive cruise lines are putting negative reviews out there in the hopes of steering business way from Royal Caribbean (RCI). Maybe Cruise Critic should not allow a posting unless the author can also supply a copy of a bill for the cruise being critiqued.

My wife and I decided to use some of my "use-it-or-lose-it" vacation time with a short cruise and got a really good deal about six weeks before this cruise on a junior suite cabin during this off-peak week. This was our 18th cruise on Royal Caribbean and we still have yet to be disappointed.

We are Diamond members (now Diamond Plus as we hit 175 cruise points by completing this cruise) and have only cruised with Royal Caribbean. So I can't compare our experiences to other cruise lines. But I do feel qualified to critique this particular experience and compare it to past RCI cruises having now completed 18 cruises with RCI.

Owner's Suite with Balcony

Cabin OS

Awesome room. It is showing a little wear (carpet, drapes, etc.), but overall is beautiful and spacious. Lots of storage (many dresser drawers and two closets) and lots of room - including a bathroom with two sinks, a tub with whirlpool, and a large shower. In addition to a great night's sleep this room can best be used by a couple that have friends or family on the same cruise and are interested in gathering everyone in one place before or after dinner and between dinner and a show.
