Sail Date: Dec 2016

We went on a 7 day cruise on Empress of the Seas, the smallest ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet. Don't let it's small size discourage you, quite the opposite, it was a fanstastic ship. The crew were outstanding and it didn't appear dated or worn out in the least.

Our daughter has severe food allergies and the dining staff were fantastic. We never had any concerns about accidental or cross contamination.

The pool is small but we never had any trouble getting in. Our cruise was sold out and the dining room and theatre handled the crowd very easily. We never felt rushed or packed in. Of course you need to get your deck lounger a little early, but that just makes sense.

Port Reviews

Belize City

Nothing to do inn this Port. Make sure you book an excursion. We ended up taking a cab to Kukumba Beach, we didn't like it. It's on the ocean but it's a man made swimming hole. Not worth the money. Also a bit of a sketchy taxi ride. We won't be going back to Belize.

Key West

nice little shopping area, we liked the shipwreck musuem and the shopping. Clean, not much for beaches though.

Cozumel

We went across to Puerta Plata. Probably should have stayed in Cozumel. The shopping was ok in PP but expensive.
