Sail Date: Dec 2016
Cabin: Balcony

The cabin we were assigned was on the 8th floor right below the buffet dining area and access to the pool area. At 3am the food trollies would roll over the tiles, and then the noise would start. There would have been 75% children on board and numerous parents who were happy to let the rug rats run wild and I mean wild. They would jump from the stairs landing to the floor below which of coarse was right next to our cabin, they would bash on our door at all hours and run away. We asked if they could assign security but that never happened.

The requirements for eating in the dining room is for smart casual dress, no singlets, shorts, or thongs and no baseball caps or hats to be worn in the dining room, and on the formal nights some men were allowed to dine in shorts. Well this was not implemented and when we inquired as to why they allowed this inappropriate attire to be allowed in the formal dining area we were told twe can't make them be tidy. A lot of the people never used the hand sanitiser a real no no when cruising. The meals were served cold and were tasteless, the waiter forgot to bring the sour cream and chives for the Idaho potato (the chives never ever arrived). When the waiter would remove a plate he would lean across me while I was still eating so he could take the plate of the person next to me, very rude. Then the final straw was in the serenity pool area, (which was great no rug rats), however some person must have had a dose of diarrhea, and lost control in the pool, well the brown scum was in the pool for 4 days that i know of, absolutely disgusting. The entertainment was really poor The "R" rated comedy show talked about the "BOGAN TRIANGLE" which runs from Logan to Caboolture To Ipswich, Every one cheered thus I think bogans rule. I have done the survey but of coarse no response, Definately steer clear of "CARNIVAL" unless you like to interact with kids. I know we were very disappointed in Carnival with their low standards.
