This was our 21st cruise with Carnival. We'd cruised out Jacksonville in years past several times on the Fascination. We decided to give the Elation a go as it had recently moved to Jacksonville. Embarkation went fine, was quick enough with Platinum priority access. The room was ready as expected when we got on.

Our ocean view cabin was as expected. Smallish, no frills, a standard Carnival Fantasy class cabin. The bathroom was a little nicer than the oldest of the Fantasy class ships, but was already showing it's age with gross or missing grout in the shower, some rust, mold, etc. Steward was nice, did a fine job.The ship shows a lot of wear and tear, needs a freshening up, but no real complaints on the ship.

The negatives-

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6C

Typical Carnival Fantasy class oceanview room. Older, no frills, showing it's age. Liked the location.

Port Reviews

Half Moon Cay

Very run down, no lifeguards in the dozen lifeguard stands down the beach, dining areas covered in chicken poop with free roaming chickens, disgusting bathrooms, scary and slow tender experience
