I chose this cruise to experience South America from one side to the other.
The cruise was very enjoyable. It started out in warm Santiago Chile then proceeded South were the weather gets very cold and windy as you get closer to Cape Horn then gets very warm from Buenos Aires northward. You have to pack both warm and cold weather clothes. Brazil requires a visa for American traveler's which costs $160 per person for USA traveler's. It costs a lot more if you use a visa service to get the visa instead of going to the Brazilian consulate yourself. Plan on about 4 weeks to get the visa, so start the process well before your cruise.
Princess did a fantastic job with the food and entertainment. The ship is very comfortable. We had a balcony cabin which works out well if you get it on the land side of the ship, port side for us. One excursion we particularly liked was the Falkland Island Volunteer Point Penguin tour done by Estancia Tours (book this online before the trip, not through Princess).
This cabin has the standard set up. The balconies on the Caribe deck 10 are significantly larger (longer) than the other deck levels. The room has a short walk to the back elevators and a long walk to the middle elevators. Very long walk to the front elevators. Overall it was a good room.
Not a lot to see or do here. There town does have some very old buildings with interesting architecture.
