We have cruised over 50 times, many of which were with Royal Caribbean. All were good except this experience with LIBERTY OF THE SEAS for the following reasons: insufficient elevators for the number of guests; SPLASHAWAY BAY for toddlers just forward of the WINDJAMMER restaurant required going through a rainstorm to get to another part of ship; the library has been replaced by offices an indication that staff not customers are more important; the advertised "fast wifi" is anything but where it was learned that the IT DIRECTOR dialed down the bandwidth (even the crew complained); wrote letter to RC and received no response (they obviously do not care); tables in main diining room are far too close - our table for two was so close to the adjoining tables that we in essence had a table for six; insufficient common areas for the number of guests; the cost of the specialty restaurants is outrageous; storage areas in bathroom and cabin are inadequate unless you are a single; on other ships of this size there are places where one can get a burger or taco without going to the LIDO or WINDJAMMER restaurant - on this ship, there are none. Consequently, the WINDJAMMER is jammed with people making the dining experience terrifiying!!!! Despite the convenience of Galveston, we will never board this ship again.
Cabin was aft facing BUT way too far from the limited number of elevators, some of which were inoperable at times. Rather than wait a long time for an elevator, we took to the stairs for the most part.....good exercise but challenging for us as well seasoned citizenson
