Sail Date: Dec 2016
Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony

We chose this cruise for the Itinerary. Contrary to what I had read about the November 2016 embarkation, ours went very well. It was the usual line of people yet the wait time wasn't bad.

Once on the Epic, we went immediately to our room. I did my research on the room and knew what to expect. The actual experience left me even more disappointed. We booked a balcony room and yes, it had the wavy walls. These rooms are very tight for moving around. Only one person at a time past the bed. The head of our bed was near the commode so we decided "no flushing" during the night! The shower and commode are opposite each other when you enter the room. You actually step out into the small hall way to dry off and dress. It is too tight in the shower to dry off. Our sink was at the foot of the curved bed so each time it is used water would drip on the floor. We had to keep a towel on the floor at all times. I will not go on the Epic again due to the very poor design of the balcony rooms. The best outcome was our room person, Elisa, who always was smiling and singing while she cleaned. And she always addressed us by our name.

The trip from Port Canaveral to Tortola took 2 sea days. The waters were very rough and this large ship rocked the entire 2 days. I along with fellow cruisers were seriously tired of maneuvering the Epic. I don't know if it was due to the time of year (December).

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

I have been here a few times before. I have visited Cape Kennedy and the museum in the past. Great for kids.
