We traveled with a group of 12, including 5 kids from 7-11. We read probably 100 reviews before going, for insight. Saved a lot of $ because of it. Ship was very clean, good condition. We did not get to use all the amenities and much of the entertainment because of the schedule & kids (no taking your 8 yr. old to the bar to listen to some Buffet).
The kids didn't like camp carnival, so we didn't force it. We let them do their own thing, in a buddy system. We took about 8 good walkie talkies which helped. Food and table waiter were very good. Cabin Steward was average, so we removed the kids from the $10/day/pp tip they automatically charged, and gave it to the table waiter at the end.
Excursions- About any excursion offered by Carnival is available at the pier for 1/2-2/3 the price. Just watch out for 7-8 hour excursions. Carnival only waits for you if you booked through them.
