  3. Celebrity Reflection
This was our second Celebrity cruise, we sailed on Silhouette (the same route) earlier this year. Loved it so much we came back for more. The entire experience is exceptional. From the check in to departure, everything is seamless and handled with elegance, efficiency, and excellence. The Holidays Experience The ship was decorated beautifully for the holiday season. Although, we did feel they played down "Christmas" in favor of a more non-denominational feel. The shows didn't really have a Christmassy feel which was somewhat of a disappointment (Princess goes all out at Christmas). Still, it's a matter of taste and catering for all. Not a biggy. Stateroom Of a high standard. I love that Celebrity has a deep verandah, shower stall (not curtain), loads of storage and a bed that feels king size, but isn't. We were mid-ship on the 8th deck, a great spot for easy access to the bow and AFT. No complaints. Dining We dined twice in Opus, and found the food much better than Silhouette. Dining as a couple, expect to be seated very closely next to other couples. That's ok. It was Christmas and everyone was happy to chat and share experiences - we made some great friends. The remaining nights we used our on-board credit to savor Murano (a little slow, but once they get going the food is great and service super-friendly. We kept bumping into our waiter Val across the ship, he was a sweetie). We also dined at Tuscan Grille twice. The experience, right at the back of the ship is one to remember. The food, service, drinks and atmosphere are first class. We also dined atop at the Lawn Grill, once again great service, although for me the food wasn't quite up to par (they push the flatbread - think greasy pizza, not true flatbread - and it's just too much to eat with the salad and grilled meat/seafood course). We dined at the buffet each day for breakfast and lunch. It can get crowded, but we didn't find it too bad overall. My only gripe was that the food was a little samey after 7 days, especially lunch. The website marketing promises sushi, my favorite, but it was never on offer in the buffet, I'm guessing because they can now make you pay for it at the sushi restaurant. Sun and Pool Decks We are not fans of crowds so we steered clear of the pool decks which are especially crowded on sea days. However, you can find a perfect retreat on the Solstice deck (loved the addition of lounge chairs and chaises, which they don't have on Silhouette). The solarium looked peaceful too, but we didn't want to be inside. Shows Have to say was a little disappointed in the troupe shows, Elysium was good, albeit lacking a narrative, but Maxx was awful. Poorly produced, overly repetitive, and just terrible songs/music, etc. In addition, Celebrity always wants to throw in acrobatic acts, and while they truly are talented, it seems they are inserted randomly and with no context to the show. For us the Motown show with the guest performers was the best. Shore Excursions Having done this route before we were familiar with San Juan, St Martin and St Kitts. The late afternoon arrival into SJ is prohibitive, but we managed a stroll around town and it was nice to get back on the ship before everyone else and enjoy some quiet time in the bar. We did the old sugar plantation train ride in St Kitts and highly recommend as a way to get an immersive experience of the island, it's people, and history. The tour guides and hosts were wonderful with cocktails and local delicacies served along the way. St Martin is such a beautiful port and we were lucky to be there for the four ships - Eclipse, Equinox, Summit and Reflection. A first, I believe. The Demi Lovato concert was not for us, so we enjoyed a nice evening on the Lawn grill instead (good idea to do this one at port, because it can get windy and even cool at sea). During the day we simply got a water taxi and ambled around the great shops and restaurants of Philipsburg, having toured the island before. Overall, five stars, definitely our preferred cruise line.

First class, hard to beat

This was our second Celebrity cruise, we sailed on Silhouette (the same route) earlier this year. Loved it so much we came back for more.

The entire experience is exceptional. From the check in to departure, everything is seamless and handled with elegance, efficiency, and excellence.

The Holidays Experience

The ship was decorated beautifully for the holiday season. Although, we did feel they played down "Christmas" in favor of a more non-denominational feel. The shows didn't really have a Christmassy feel which was somewhat of a disappointment (Princess goes all out at Christmas). Still, it's a matter of taste and catering for all. Not a biggy.

Stateroom

Of a high standard. I love that Celebrity has a deep verandah, shower stall (not curtain), loads of storage and a bed that feels king size, but isn't. We were mid-ship on the 8th deck, a great spot for easy access to the bow and AFT. No complaints.

Dining

We dined twice in Opus, and found the food much better than Silhouette.
