Although they say they gave Summit an update in March 2016, I certainly didn't see it and was disappointed how aged and shabby it is looking. I have sailed other Celebrity vessels and must say Summit was the poorest I have been on. Staff seemed worn and tired, crew had very little engagement, service was 4/5 for the most part, food was 3.5/5, and entertainment was 4/5. BUT for a Christmas cruise I was very disappointed in the lack of festive dinners, decorations were confined to deck 3 lobby area, was expecting more Jolly throughout the ship, nothing!! We took this cruise with our 2 adult daughters (there first cruise) and even they commented on the staff morale seeming low and food being just OK to not bad. I would go on Celebrity again, however, not the Summit nor would I recommend the Summit. The on boarding experience was very good as were the excursions, especially the catamaran in St.Kitts, what a blast that was. Try to use your on-board credits for the excursions, if it was my own cash, I would have been somewhat disappointed in a couple of them.
Small, old looking, rust on metal railings on balcony, windows stained with sea salt from time gone by.
Hailed a cab outside the port, got a 5 hour tour with Thomas (great guy) of the entire island for $140USD. Well worth it
