This cruise was a very fun week. To start off we stayed for a night in Miami, making it easy to arrive early to board the Escape. The ship is enormous with tons of people, about 4400 passengers. The rooms were clean but not very well planned out, as our bed was pretty much blocking the closet. The three ports we went to St. Thomas, Tortola, and Nassau, were amazing. I wish there was one less day at sea as the Miami waters were very rough. For the kids there was a kids pool, and water play area and water slides. The slides were fabulous but there was no where near the kids area to set up pool chairs. The ropes course was fabulous, and the show FOR THE RECORD: THE BRAT PACK was awesome.

The food was very good at all of the specialty restaurants, they are totally worth it. The cafeteria food got redundant but it was ok. Now for the biggest blunder. THE SPA WAS AWFUL...the first day we got on the ship we booked 3 services, 2 on the last day and 1 on the 3rd day. They didn't book this right and had booked all three the last day. So we changed it so that one was the day before and 2 the last day so that the kids wouldn't be left unattended because the kids club was NOT GOOD but thats another point I will get to. So we go on the last day and our massages had been cancelled and the front desk employee is there dumbfounded because she remembered making sure we had the appointments. (we had canceled the service the day before so they probably just cancelled them all) I was upset and they offered us use of the spa and to give us a different time which didn't work for us. My husband owns a spa and said that that has happened and you offer a free service or sometimes 2 free services. This did not happen but in the long run it saved us money because for what they charged, I can get 3 massages at home.

As for the KIDS CLUB, they didn't have any activities that were actually fun. It was all babyish and one of the staff yelled at my daughter because she didn't want to participate. All in all, we had a great, memorable week but it would improve the ship to improve the spa and kids club.
