This was our third cruise - by chance all on Queen Elizaebth - which we have almost come to regard as home at sea. My partner was always interested in going to Norway but I was less keen - so when this combined Norway and Iceland cruise popped-up, we went for it. Everyone I've spoken to who has been to Iceland says it is fascinating and like no-where else on earth.

As previously our check-in was easy - drive down to Southampton, stop outside the terminal, someone takes the luggage, someone else takes the car to park, we wander inside, attend to a few formalities with very little queuing, stroll onto the ship, find the cabin, open the complimentary wine, put feet up, luggage arrives. What's not to like?

We now know our way around the elegant Queen Elizabeth although we both thought this time that some of the public areas were looking slightly more jaded than on our previous cruise the previous year. Nice to see some familiar faces among the crew, especially in the dining rooms, who even remembered us from our last cruise.
