This was the first cruise for either my wife or myself. We went as a group with friends. Hanging with our friends was the best part of the trip.

In summary we enjoyed the ship itself (minus a few annoyances). I don't know if cruising is really us. There were enough things that were below our expectations that I doubt we will do it again. Read on if you would like to know what they were.

The ship itself is very impressive. Being new it still has the shine of a new penny. There are lots of activities and shopping opportunities. I'm not a shopper so those held no value for me personally. If you do enjoy shopping for premium goods the ship has you covered well. There are areas of the ship that will meet most demographics. I'm very glad they had the forward bow sundeck where children were discouraged from going. That made for a pretty quiet refuge to hang out when you didn't want to be in your room on sailing days. Being around the pools was the expected madhouse of people. Not a complaint mind you. If you like the quieter areas you won't be hanging around the pools. Towards the rear of the ship is the sports area. Flowriders, huge slides, zip line, ping pong and the kids lounge. One of the most fun and noisiest parts of the ship. That area was the most crowded on cruise days. Towards front are the three water slides.
