Sail Date: Nov 2016

This was our first cruise and we are glad we chose something short and local to see if it was something for us - but now that we've experienced this we may consider other options in future. My wife and I went on the cruise with our son (3.5 years old).

Firstly the good:

* staff were friendly enough - although English was a challenge at times.

Cabin Review

Cabin ocean view

* the cabin was quite dated and the TV small

* the port window was great - I'm glad we got an ocean view room

* the curtains were nice

* the bathroom was small but very functional and although dated like the rest of the cabin was not unpleasant.

* we had a three birth room which was a bunk bed plus another single which was not as preferable over the double bed with trundle/sofabed which would have been much more enjoyable to stay in (from the guy that had to climb to the top bunk and sleep with my shoulder touching the roof for 4 nights). The top bunk stated it was only suitable for 9 years+

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

* white bay cruise terminal is a short trip from the city - we took the bus, but got off at the wrong stop, so had to walk a fair way back along the terminal fence line.

* great views once you board the boat of the city, bridge and bay

Hobart

* no frills port, but no fuss

* easy disembarkation process

* great views of the small city

* short walk to the city centre

Melbourne

* great views of the city / bay as you arrive

* easy disembarkation process
