We just got back from a wonderful holiday on Rhapsody of the Seas. We had never taken a Christmas cruise and this turned out to be a very relaxing and warm way to spend the holiday season.

Embarkation was a bit crazy, and even though we were Diamond members, it took us just as long to get on the ship as anyone else. After that, it was all relaxation. Our outside stateroom was ready at 1:30 as promised. The ship decorations were classy. We loved the gingerbread house display. Dinner took longer than normal, but the Christmas Eve and then Christmas day menus were great. Two people were added to our family table, who turned out to be a great addition to our family, even though we just met. Our waiter and helper were very good, but our bar steward, Cordell, was superb. Glasses of wine were delivered to us as soon as we sat down every night. What great service.

We had pre-booked shore excursions before we left. The Belize excursions were cancelled twice - and we aren't sure why. But we did receive a 10% discount on the third booking, which helped a little.

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin G

Room was a little dirty - found small items on the floor like an earring back, which should have been vacuumed up. Also room steward took our pool towels one night and it took us 2 days to get replacements back.
