Sail Date: Jun 2009

Our cruise was on the Grandeur of the Seas from June 19-27 2009 to Canada / New England in an inside stateroom.  The average age of your paying guests was probably around 55.  The weather ranged from sunny 70-80 degrees on 3 of 8 days to rainy, foggy and 60 degrees on all others.  The cruise line obviously doesn't have anything to do with the weather, but that describes the cruise adequately.

This is our second cruise with the first taken on the Carnival Valor to the Eastern Caribbean.  This was the first and probably last with RCI.    My wife and I are in our early 50' and middle to upper middle class.    We opted for an inside stateroom as we determined not much would be visible during the evening / sailing between ports and it might be relatively cool to cold in the evenings to truly take advantage of an upgrade to balcony.  The cost difference was also significant.

To summarize the whole cruise we would say it was unorganized, troublesome, bland and overall luke warm.  Nothing seemed to really get us excited except for some excursions we took on our own.  The only good thing about the cruise was the exceptionally friendly staff.  They truly seemed to care.
