We've cruised Celebrity several times and have never been disappointed. This time, we were looking for a quick getaway to decompress and this cruise -- 4 days at sea with a quick stop in Cozumel -- delivered big time. We last sailed on Solstice, so choosing sister-ship Silhouette was a comfortable option for us. We highly recommend Aqua class for the spa-like shower, classy amenities and the exclusive use of the Blu dining room. Wait staff were incredibly attentive, from the Maitre d' to every server. Likewise, our stateroom attendants were exquisite, tending to every need. On board public rooms were extremely upscale and well maintained, as was our stateroom; the food was up to the usual Celebrity standard; and the entertainment was particularly good -- we very much enjoyed both the variety shows, as well as headliner comedian Rondell Sheridan.
Additionally notable -- the Alcoves, an exclusive experience in Silhouette's Lawn Club (Deck 15), we was our opportunity to enjoy our own private cabana and lounges while in port. Likewise, we were extremely surprised at the ease of entry to the ship - again, we'd note that you get preferred access through Aqua Class -- and disembarkation, which seemed far quicker than at any time in recent memory. That may have something to do with the shortness of the cruise -- fewer bags to take off the ship -- but for whatever the reason, it was a very smooth process. (One little note to Celebrity -- you have a disembarkation lounge for Concierge Class; why not one for Aqua Class???) In all, terrific service, solid dining, very good entertainment and a great experience. We're sailing again on Celebrity in August 2017 (Alaska), and truly looking forward to it.
Well appointed cabin, nothing incredibly spacious but extremely well maintained. Aqua Class staterooms have an upgraded spa shower that's really terrific -- and a terrific upgrade. Beds were firm and comfortable, balcony was spacious enough, and the special touches (afternoon hors d'oeuvres, special tea water, constant bottled water) were very nice.
Embarkation and Disembarkation were surprisingly smooth at Port Everglades. Keep in mind that we're not dealing with a glamor location -- these are glorified warehouses -- but the idea is to spend as little time in them as possible. Having Aqua Class meant expedited boarding, although not necessarily expedited disembarkation. Still, we found getting off the ship to be surprisingly smooth, and the crew told us that -- despite the time we were previously given -- we could leave the ship and claim our bags at any time. No complaints.
