We chose this cruise as we did a previous Holland America cruise on Niew Amsterdam last March. Although we have never in 9 cruises had a bad one, there was so much about this line we loved! Some of these are amazing service, food , and pools!!Also, we love the Promenade Deck, the bathtubs in the balcony rooms, and the Tea Time at 3:00 pm ! ( discovered this at the end and it was so beautiful with wonderful smoked salmon sandwiches , ham croissants , and dainty squares served from silver pots with an ocean back drop!!! ( Free too) It is a perfect blend of elegance and relaxation and a 7 day feels longer because of the low key ambience , yet there are classy touches everywhere--- fresh flowers on the table, room service all the time which is reliable, and the staff themselves who strive to please!Dedi and Asep , our cabin stewards were so kind as were the staff at Guest Services( really sweet!), and the wonderful girls in the hair salon-- Liina, Lizka, and Monika. Liina did such a great job on my hair and gave me tea and a head massage that put me to sleep!! ( magical hands!!)
We also chose this cruise for the one port we hadn't seen -- Turks and Caicos-- Amazing!! If you love water , it is a must! Our terrific captain docked on a windy day when other ships were afraid to do it! As a result we had the place to ourselves! ( great skill!) In addition, Eurodam was rated very high in every category on the Top Ten Cruise Ships for 2016 which gave us confidence in it as well. The food was like homemade perfection!! They served so tender , cut with a knife, Prime Rib and their Surf and Turf was wonderful. They make their own bread and it is the BEST !! Their food is really special from fancy to the best Fries and pizza at sea. Their salads are so fresh and the desserts delectable! Also, you can get a full breakfast in your room with great room service!
We loved it and our only criticism at all is their Muster Drill. It is not senior friendly as they keep you standing on the promenade deck for what seems like forever if you have bad legs . They need chairs or some other method like other lines do it in seated areas. However, to be fair, I actually do know where to go in a real emergency as they put you right there!

Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom
Our room was in such a great location just out from the back elevators and right up from the back pool , Lido Buffet ,and Dining room. We would try to book this again! I was worried there might be noise but it was so quiet and minimized the walking in heels!! The room was big with lots of storage and hangars, wonderful , flat screen TV and big balcony with foot rests and small table.
Our cabin stewards were the best---Dedi and Asep!! They kept the room perfect ! When I found the bed a bit too firm, I asked for a soft eggshell cover , and they fixed it up immediately. We slept so well and loved our cabin.In addition, they made us the best animal friends at sea. I posted the monkey they made us hanging in front of our balcony!! ( famous!)These extra touches meant a lot and they deserve thanks and praise for all they do!

Grand Turk
Amazing port if you love water activities, sitting by the pool, or resting on a beach! It is right at the end of the ship's dock. Take your pick--- the best swimming sandy, calm beach anywhere or walk a few steps back to find incredible gigantic interlocking pools!! This is a port that I would choose a cruise for!!! You don't need to spend money as the most wonderful beach day is right there! The aqua water is unforgettable !
