Having cruised with other lines,we wanted to try out Thomsons,this ship was with RC before and as such we knew what to expect.Our flight from birmingham went very smooth and at Barbados we were taken directly to the ship.Our luggage arrived promptly and the cabin was clean and spacious and was kept clean all through the trip,10 out of 10 for this.

The food through out was also excellent with larger than usual portions,the soups and sweets deserve a special mention and other could learn from this.The down side of dinning was the crampt spaces between tables,some so close we could not even get into our seats and had to be moved !.The service,I am sad to say left an awful lot to be desired,we timed some of the meals and found that we had to wait as much as 35 minutes from the time our orders were taken to the time the starter arrived,another 15 before the main course arrived,there were times when we ordered coffee and left as as it never arrived,the average time for a three course meal was between two and a half to three hours.The dinning room staff,i am sure did their best but their English in most cases left a lot to be desired.

The entertainment was very good but apart from a couple of shows by a comedian,it was the same song and dance troup,luckily they were very good.The onboard shops are very expensive with a standard tube of tooth paste costing £3 and a simple plug addaptor costing £7.95.!!.Only the Spirit and tobacco offers were worth considering.We also found that if one needs more cash/Dollars,they will only take cash on board and not on ones card as with other lines.
