This was the first cruise for my wife and I, as well as our kids (12 and 9). We were joined by my parents, who are experienced cruisers. Overall, a great introduction to cruising.

Security, baggage check, and check in were smooth. A little disappointed that there wasn't much more happening and more food (other than cookies and juice) while we waited to embark. We boarded immediately upon it being available in order to grab lunch. However, this made for a slow afternoon as there weren't many activities on the ship, and the pools were not attractive. (I don't remember seeing a single person in the main pool over the entire sailing.)

Cabin was clean (we checked for bed bugs and came up empty). As we were four, it was disappointing that we had a 3-person cabin in to which they brought a roll-away cot. (Made for extremely tight quarters.) Other than that, no issues with the cabin. (Midway through the trip we experienced a problem with the toilet. Turns out other cabins had the same problem. By the time we next returned to the cabin, it had been resolved and was fine thereafter.)
