Very disappointed the the Main Dinning Room food. Celebrity has cut back on most everything. The red meat and fish dishes were inedible. Everyone at our table had to send meals back. The hot dishes were cold and the salads warm. They offered Steak Dianne with sirloin steak NOT tenderloin. Cheap, cheap, cheap. Everyone in the cafe at breakfast and lunch was complaining about the food in the main dinning room. They are trying to steer cruisers to the specialty restaurants which is just another example of cutting corners and trying to squeeze more money out of cruisers. The cost of specialty dining has skyrocketed while the food in the regular dinning room has declined drastically. They also have cut the assistant cabin attendants which is just another money grab. The essence of a Celebrity cruise in general and the Equinox in particular is the individual employees. They are always friendly, courteous, and helpful and this cruise was no exception. Unfortunately, one of the most important reasons for taking a cruise is the dining experience. We noticed a change several years ago on a Celebrity Mediterranean cruise with the food and this cruise has confirmed our observations. We had a Celebrity Mediterranean cruise booked for May 2017 but we have switched to Princess after this experience. We have been loyal to Celebrity but no more.
