Sail Date: Dec 2016
Cabin: Balcony

As a regular (Diamond WC) I noticed again lowered standards. The meals in the Britannia restaurant have again lost quality and taste. Almost every dish was served cold. It was impossible to have a beer or a wine with a lunch neither at the Lido nor in the Restaurant as Sommeliers have been hiding somewhere.

Cabin (BB) was OK, but some rattling was permanent when balcony door was opened. Refurbishing the cabin is an issue.

Theater entertainment was a bit chaotic due to unforseen circumstances, but the ship and definitely the "Royal Cunard Dancers and Singers" did their best to comply. The Juggler wasn't worth watching, neither were the pianists.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Standard Balcony Deck 6 middle with typical Cunard/Vista Class layout. Needs some refurbishing.

Port Reviews

Southampton

Mayflower terminal: Very quick embarkation after transfer from LHR.

Lisbon

Wonderful town - take the trams 18E,25E and 28E to see the town - day ticket 6€!

Seville

Shops close at 2 p.m. sharp until 5 p.m. - Restaurants full after 2.30 p.m.

The Market Hall is worth visiting

Malaga

nothing special. Take a tour to more spectacular places.

Tangier

Just a typical Maghreb city. Not much going on on a sunday. Take a tour.

La Coruna

What a change compared to other Spanish cities. Clean, friendly and honest people. Visited the north with the Lighthouse and a view of the waves crashing at the land - spectacular. Nice food everywhere.
