This was our first cruise and had been highly recommended by friends.

As cruise newbies i called Thomson after making my booking just to check i hadn't missed anything. I was then advised to pay extra to book a specific room with unobstructed sea view, which i did. As soon as we arrived at our room the most obvious thing was the lifeboat hanging outside our window completely blocking our view. I went to reception and have to say that the lady there was one of the rudest staff members i have ever met, other tourists in the queue also commented on how rude she was. I asked to speak to a manager. When he arrived he simply explained that they couldn't help and told me to contact Thomson on our return.

The flight and joining the cruise were faultless, all staff involved were very efficient. Read more
