We were in cabin A701, and it was a great location. Attila, from Hungary, was probably our best room steward, ever! Our cabin was close to the aft elevator; walk directly aft on 12-Aloha deck, go thru a door, and you're at an outdoor small pool with a wonderful aft view. From there, walk up one deck and you're at the Horizon Court, the buffet restaurant. One more deck up and you're at another small pool and hot tub. However, this 16th-deck hot tub was just warm and the jets did not work. We reported it numerous times, but it apparently went on deaf ears. The Vista Lounge was also just off the elevator on 7-Promenade deck...this venue hosts many events. (To get to levels six and below, you need to walk to mid ship...you get used to it...by the 14th day.)

The food in the Horizon Court was fine...ice cream parlor was a treat...pizza place was good...burgers OK...International Café was great! In the two, open-dining restaurants, the food was OK. A couple of nights, it was outstanding. However, the desserts in the main dining rooms were out of this world...every night! Clap, clap to the pasty chef!!!!

Staff in the Horizon Court (buffet) was always outstanding. Servers in the open-dining venues were a hit or miss. Not impressed. They need a refresher course in proper service. Applies to hostess also. ☹ (Arrived at Portfino dining room about 8 PM…no waiting line. She said they did not have a table for two and to check back in 20 minutes. We asked her if she would check to see if Capri has an available table, she said they would not inasmuch as they send their overflow to them. We left and went to Capri…seated immediately. Read more
