Our favorite ship for families so far, absolutely love this ship and all the things for families to do together. There is so much to do and see, you don't even need to go anywhere! The ship gets a big thumbs up from us, the kids, and my parents that went with us. Downsides are: little to no seafood to be found on the main buffet or Solarium bistro. 1 fish dish offered in the main dining room each night, 1 lobster night (more like big shrimp than a real lobster tail but good enough). This was disappointing because they used to have more seafood on Royal Carribean. You can buy seafood for extra if you want it, but don't expect it to be included and don't expect chilled shrimp and crab claws at every buffet like Disney does. The kids area (Adventure Ocean) is good for babysitting and the kids didn't love to go, but eventually learned to enjoy themselves for a bit so we could do some kid free stuff. If you are expecting a robust Disney kids area, this is not the case, but the ship itself has way more to do onboard than any Disney cruise. Kids check in is slow and painful, so don't expect efficiency when checking them in or out. Staff was decent, better than on the Anthem when we sailed out of NJ, but not the best we have experience on RC.

Shows were mediocre at best, the Headliner Gaucho was really great though. Overall fabulous vacation, I highly highly recommend it for couples & families. I only list the downsides because these need to be discussed and RC should take note, they would be easy to fix. Drink package is totally worth every penny, Atlantis Waterpark was worth every penny, and we had an amazing time. Photographers aren't great so don't buy the CD, just pick your 3-4 favorites if you're lucky enough to get that many good ones. We will definitely go again, it's a great ship and we had the best time! It was really fantastic. I only mention the downsides if you are comparing this to Disney or other cruises. Not many downsides, but there are a few to consider. They won't stop me from going again, overall it's a fabulous vacation on a fabulous ship! The gym on this ship is better than most and we are picky.

Cabin Review

Family Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin FB

Loved this cabin location, no hallway noise and on the same end of the ship as Windjammer. It has bunkbeds for the kids too, which they thought was super fun. They don't put them down automatically, so ask housekeeping to be sure they do that for you. I get motion sickness, so I liked the location for minimal movement.

Port Reviews

Labadee

Labadee is nicer than I remember last time we went, they have definitely invested in improving the experience for guests. Tons of lounge chairs, so that was really appreciated. If you get the RC drink package, you can use it on the island which was really nice. It was a great spot for the kids to make sandcastles. Food was ok and readily available, free to RC guests. Parents, have the kids wear water shoes, there is sharp coral on the beach floor even in shallow water. My daughter and husband hurt themselves on it so just be careful. Otherwise a great leisurely stop.
