In the beginning:

In February I began to need warm, sunny weather. Since that wouldn't happen in PA for a long time, I tried the next best thing, planning a vacation. We were to Bermuda a few years ago on the Crown and loved the island. So my first thought was to plan a short trip in May/June via air.

Checking prices for airfare/hotels quickly changed my mind. Came to Cruise Critic to check out information on the Dawn, Majesty, and Spirit since each left from a port close to home. Saw that there was a CC group going in June, checked the prices and was sold! Coupling the nice discount through CC with our Compass Reward certificates, we decided to try our first suite.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SF

Good size cabin.  The balcony was a bit small.  2 loungers and a small table barely fit on the balcony.  A foot or 2 of depth to the balcony would have been great. The bed was comfortable, not too hard and not too soft.  The sofa was comfortable.  The small dining table was useful to store our daily 'stuff', but we never used it for dining.  The refrigerator area had a bit of a musty/dank smell.  It was only noticible when the bar cabinet door was open. The closet was very large.  The best part was doors on both sides so we could both get at our clothes at the same time. The vanity/make-up area was nice.  Plenty of room and a nice big mirror. The bathroom was a good size.  The tub sat a bit high.  It could be a challenge for someone with limited mobility to step up and into the tub/shower.
