Cabin: Aquatheater Suite with Balcony - Deck 10

We cruised with a party of 17, including 9 children ranging from high school to elementary school. The ship was huge with lots of activities for the children to accommodate all ages. We had a 1-bedroom aqua theater suite on deck 12. If you are inclined for a suite and can tolerate the one bathroom (the one downside), the room was perfect for 2 adults and 3 children. You cannot register 3 children in this room so one of ours was registered with someone else on our party but stayed in our room. There is a huge walk-in closet with plenty of room for clothes and, most importantly, to get the suitcases out of sight. There is another good sized closet and ample drawer space. The bathroom has a tub, shower and two sinks. The inside sitting area was very adequate and the deck, while on the smaller side for the aqua theater suites, was more than sufficient for the amount we used it. If you're planning to entertain a lot on the deck - go for a lower floor. Our kids had several room service meals outside and our deck was fine for that. The noise from the aqua theater wasn't too much of an issue considering we were usually out of the room until the time the evening shows were ending. Being at the end of the hall you don't have to listen to kids running back and forth as parents apparently don't discourage.

The other suite perks made this room very nice. The private lounge/restaurant on deck 17 was a great place to relax. The two concierges were extremely accommodating and we found the restaurant (especially for breakfast and dinner) was the best choice on the ship. There is a private outdoor suite deck with plenty of seating so no need to fight for seats with the 7000 passengers on the ship although, to be fair, there seemed to be plenty of seats on the pool deck (one flight of stairs away from the suite deck) as well. The check in lines seemed short when we got there no matter if it was the suite line or not. Being whisked past the long check-out lines at the end of the cruise was a great perk. As for the ship itself, there were plenty of activities. The one downside was the food which we found was very mediorcre, even in the speciality restaurants. The one exception was the Hibachi restaurant. Coastal Kitchen (again, great for breakfast) was decent for dinner (we ate there once) but wasn't spectacular.

Another great suite perk - barefoot beach. We had a cabana and enjoyed it. The only change is that we would have taken one closer to the water next time although ours wasn't far at all - just not close enough to watch the kids from it. The beach was great, in a gentle cove (unlike the exposed, wavy beach on the other side) and the included lunch was very good.
