My son and I went with my mom and one of my sisters. Embarkation went well; we explored the ship and it looked very nice, though there were about 5 elevators out of order when we left port and at least a couple still out or that went out during the cruise. The cabin was comfortable and clean. There was always plenty to do, though I would have enjoyed more shows and movies in the Princess Theater. There was an electric basketball machine mid-ship that was never on except halfway through the cruise and then only to a few select people that wanted to participate in a basketball 'Olympics' session. It was never open for free play, with or without the electricity so we were kind of bummed about that. They had a basketball court on the top deck outside but it was either too windy and cold or it had a bunch of older teens using it.

The food was pretty good but it would have been nice to have more of a variety-we saw a lot of the same pasta dishes and stuff being offered over and over again. Service was great, so was the staff, and the excursions were excellent-my favorite was the tour on the Big Island where we saw the lava tree park, lagoon, and lava beds, and had a BBQ at an old church. One big downfall that will probably affect our using Princess again was that they began allowing dogs onboard, not just service dogs, and there was no place provided for the dogs to go to the bathroom or run around. Needless to say, we saw multiple places around the ship, including the piazza, where there was dog poop! At one point, a maintenance man had been called and he picked up some of the poop, but not all of it and then didn't even sanitize the floor! My family has dogs so we love them, but if you're going to allow them onboard, then provide an area for them to use the bathroom and run around-not all over the ship.

Really nice, comfortable and clean. The bunk mattresses weren't as comfortable as the regular beds, they were kind of firm and thin.
