I was sorely disappointed in the staff on the New England cruise. The gratuities were already included so there did not seem to be any impetus to do anything more than the minimum. Some nights in the dining room, we had the first seating, it would take over two hours to complete our dinner due to the slowness of the wait staff. We were often the last table being served, large time gaps between courses, with average food. At the shows, we often had to get up from our seats to get the attention of the wait staff - they did more walking around than taking/bringing drink orders. Our cabin steward was excellent, the excursions enjoyable, but the bulk of the cruise was less than stellar. If this had been my first cruise on Princess, with no knowledge of excellent a Princess cruise could be, I would NOT be a repeat customer. Very, very disappointing!
