This cruise was chosen for me; i went along to make up a double room. The trip began and ended badly, not the fault of the cruise line but it does impact how one feels about things,. On the way down, we sat in traffic for well over an hour because of a labor dispute involving Uber. We go to the ship just in time for a needed drink..?No, we had to rush off to the drill. On the way back, bad weather caused numerous delays and we spent almost 12 hours in the San Juan airport waiting for a flight. To add to the misery, San Juan was having, may still be having, an influenza epidemic. We saw this manifested both on the ship and on and after the flight home. Had I known, I could have, perhaps, gotten a prescription for Tamiflu.
The main problem for me was there were lines everywhere and I spent half my time trying to avoid them. It seemed to me that each cabin had to be at least a triple.
The food was alright and there was plenty of it. But nothing was spectacular. My one suggestion is that, if you go to an Italian restaurant, you are far better off having a dish in which they specialize. People raved about the pasta. For example, the steak they routinely offer is very good but a strip steak did not work, even after two tries.
Cabin was fine. Mattress was firm, I happen to like that, linens were nice. Carpet was worn and stained. Location was good, near the forward elevator. It is more convenient to be near the mid ship elevator. I like being on the 9th or 10th deck. No problems of any kind with cabin.
