Princess is a line we haven't cruised much after a mediocre experience 8 years ago or so. Now I remember why.

The Ruby Princess is a fairly nice looking boat. Well maintained. Much cleaner than the Sapphire we sailied on in about 2008. However, a holiday cruise with 3400+ passengers leaves it feeling very cramped and over run. The ship is only 113K tons and cramming 3400 passengers + 1200 crew on it is toooooooo much. Walking around was difficult due to cramped aisleways on pool decks and sheer crowding in the food supply areas. Lines were long. People waited 2 + hours for tenders when we hit Cabo.

The main dining room service was slow. Nearly every meal I was served came out cold. They are inflexible on the menu. Things are made one way and that's pretty much it. Sauce on the side? Nope, scrape it off yourself.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BB

Adequate hanging storage. Very little drawer space. Shower is very tight. Finished pretty basic. Toilet had a nasty black ring on day 1. Gone on day 2. Bed a little soft but we prefer very firm so most would be ok.

It was fine. Kinda Motel 6 level on towels and look/feel.

Port Reviews

Cabo San Lucas

Cabo is what it is. A tender port with a lot of shops, bars and restaurants. Nothing to get too excited about in terms of availability of goods or services.
