Chose this cruise as a "sisters getaway" and to check out a mega-ship for comparison to our other sailings.
This ship is huge, but well-placed signage makes navigating about it very manageable. We sailed full+, 6,100 passengers, and amazingly, one could not believe there were so many aboard. And despite its size, service on this giant of a ship is remarkable. We felt special, and that it was important that this relief from everyday life be exceptional. No one, not a shopkeeper, not a waiter, not anyone made us feel guilty that we were able to make this trip. This has not been the case on some of our other cruises with other companies. So, hugeness didn't matter. What a wonderful surprise to see how efficiently this ship ran.
Our cabin was well situated mid-ship/forward on the port side close to the elevator lobby and overlooked Central Park with a big window and window seat for viewing the scene below. Calming, and green.
Quite adequate for my sister and I. We had the room attendant rearrange the bed into 2 beds and these were comfortable. There is plenty of space under the beds, whether separated or not, for luggage (we had 2 large bags and 1 roller bag carryon).
This stateroom has a window seat with a large window (with curtains) that lets in the light and looks out onto Central Park greenery, so the photo I saw online looked just like our room. This room had no connecting door to another room, a mistake we've made in the past. And either we had very quiet neighbors on either side of us, or the insulation is great on this ship. Only once did we hear a closet door slamming for about a half hour. Otherwise, not a peep.
The room is well situated mid-ship forward near the elevator lobby a few rooms down which is convenient.
