We were on the February 6, 2016 cruise that experienced that awful storm and thought we'd take our chances on this date!
We have sailed from Bayonne on several occasions and continue to dislike the haphazard boarding procedures. I still do not understand why RCCL cannot have counters to line up for. Thankfully, our sailing was uneventful, wish I could say the same for the excursions, food, and entertainment. I reviewed this ship last February and do not wish to continue the same ole thing however, RCCL must improve on the quality of food in the 4 main restaurants (unless they are trying really hard to get us all to pay for real food in the $ restaurants), the food is consistently cold and generally inedible. It's crazy to go to the dining room and come out hungry! Our family will not return food to the kitchen, we just dont do that and adding salt is not really an option. We did find the Windjammer food to be exceptionally good and at least you could try different options. I would be remiss if I said the service was below par, it was not. All of the servers in all of the eating establishments were wonderful, served with a smile and although not totally knowledgeable about the taste of the food they were serving, tried really hard. I obviously cannot blame them for the terrible food they were serving. Can you ruin a garden salad? Yes, I should've taken a picture of the Frizee in a bowl with two cherry tomatoes!
Yes, this ship goes to Disneyland therefore the 800 or so children on board was not a surprise, suffice it to say never again.
My sister and I shared the cabin. It was adequate. There always are enough hangers, which I like because I always overpack and there are enough drawers. TV news stations were limited to CNN and one other, but the other usually had just "who done it", shows. I watch TV at night to keep up with the news at home.
Spent the day at the Hilton Hotel. Great food!
Board is haphazard.
