We took this cruise as a back to back for a total of 14 nights. We had Faster to the Fun and the embarkation was made a little easier. We didn't have to stand in the long snaky line but we still had to sit and wait a bit. We enjoyed getting on the ship a little faster and having our cabin available as soon as we got on. Our room steward, Hari, was so accommodating and did a fantastic job. The first week it took a few days for the weather to warm up which we expected. We went to most of the shows in the theater and several of the comedy shows. No complaints there...some better then others but generally entertaining. We didn't eat in the dining room the first week mainly because we were pretty lazy and just enjoyed doing our own thing. The food on the Lido at dinner time offered many of the same choices as the main dining and was always good. In fact we found the food to actually be better than we have had on other cruises. The second week we were joined by a family member and went almost every night to the dining room. The service was great and seating was easy with the any time dining. We also went to brunch several times during the two weeks and always enjoyed that. The first week in Cape Canaveral we just stayed on the ship and enjoyed the serenity deck. The second week we rented a car and drove to Coco Beach and Coco Village. We had great weather on both days there but I think I really loved just lounging around on the Serenity deck the best. We walked to the Beach in Nassau on both days and had a great time swimming and people watching. Freeport had great weather both weeks and we shopped and listened to the music and just enjoyed the sunshine. The ship was nicely decorated for the holiday season and the Christmas show was very cute with the kids. Loved doing the back to back! Carnival makes it so easy. Basically if you are staying on for another week you meet in the atrium and a rep escorts all those spending another week off the ship and you just show your custom form to an agent and are walked back on. A very simple 5 minute process. Carnival then gave us all a glass of champagne and took a group photo which they sent to our cabins.

We have sailed on the Pride several times and would have no problem doing so again.
