We wanted to go on a New ship not just refurbished. The ship itself was nice, enjoyed the new layout. More decks with things other than rooms on them. Staff seemed to be very confused as if this was their first cruise. That was in all aspects of the ship from dinning staff to casino help. I asked one person where the nearest bathroom was and was told they did not know.... Maybe employees coming to a new ship need a day or so to learn it before being given onto the guests.....Keeping service in mind.
Embarkation out of New York was a complete joke. You could not give me a cruise leaving from there again. We are platinum members and were treated like cattle (not saying anyone should be treated that way) however getting to the platinum level has taken a good while and at a cost to get there. I personally am not a fan of "Faster to The Fun" program because we could be stuck behind folks on their first crew and do not have a clue. This was our 19th cruise on the Carnival line and by far our worst experience. Disembarkation in Miami went smoothly, professional.
The new ride of the bicycle that goes outside the ship was great Again the ship itself was nice.
Cabin was the average for a balcony, seemed a little smaller than ones we have had before.
Our fault but we hired a outside vender to transport us to the ship. They picked up one other guest (there were 5 of us) well we ended up on a two hour ride as we went through the City to drop this one guest off downtown New York
We just went to the Beach, had a great time.
