I've never done a review before, but thought I would this time! To begin with, I really like Princess, though I have not sailed on other lines to give a fair comparison. I think you get a lot of bang for your buck with Princess, and I've never been disappointed. I am a Platinum cruiser with them, and not at all averse to trying another line sometime..RCL? HA? Celebrity?...I will in time, but this review is about the Regal. This is my third time on her in six years, and this time, I sailed with two of my sisters. In the past, I've sailed with my husband, who is gone now..and a friend whose husband didn't want to cruise. Anyway, I think the ship is beautiful.

Here are a few observations I had, having saled on her before and then just recently.

Dining: We used Anytime Dining and really never had a problem getting in or getting a table for the three of us. We dislike the table/sofa/chair arrangement and opted to wait for a table for four for the three of us. Never a problem..and a short wait, if that. The staff was always accommodating. I noticed a couple of changes to the dining room menu...no longer did I see the Beef Medallions or Sirloin Steak available "anytime"...maybe I am misremembering, but I thought that they were always there. Fortunately, the excellent Fettucini Alfredo was still there and just as good as I remembered it. I tried some things I've never had and enjoyed them. I thought the nightly offerings were pretty good, and always was able to find something to try.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

Our cabin was quite nice...we were a couple decks above a lifeboat and when we looked to our left, the bottom of the Seawalk (which is illuminated) was a couple decks up and to our left. I think if I sail on her again, I would want to be further away from the illumination. Bedding was excellent - loved the mattress and the duvets. Cabin was immaculate. All the balconies on this ship are small...but it was sufficient.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

St. Maarten is always fun.

St. Thomas

It's okay..I'm not a shopper.

Did not care for it..would have preferred Princess Cays
