For a ship of this size (The Allure of the Seas) the cuisine surpassed my expectations. Although we dined in three of the specialty restaurants, considering the quality and variety of food in the dining room, it was not necessary to eat anywhere else unless you want a quieter and more intimate experience.

On the other hand there were a great many young children aboard and they made a lot of noise. I would suggest that the line make an attempt to segregate young families so that we seniors can enjoy some peace and quiet at dinnertime.

The major deficiency on this cruise was the lack of any intellectual stimulation. The one trivia session we attempted was beyond stupid. Sample questions: What product was Henry Ford first known for? Answer: the car (the Model T would have been an excessively detailed answer). What part of Albert Einstein's body was preserved? Duh.
